Head Span

Ribbon: Catenary Design > Cross Span

Sicat Master will create a head span rope and a cross span wire with associated elements. You have to allocate head-span wire supports to these elements.

Intention	Creates a head span.
Instructions	Run the New Head Span function. Select the first and second holder for the head span. Run the Create Head Span function. The dialogue of the head span wire will open with the tabs: Heights and Loads. Here you can insert the data for the head span wire. At the point design Sicat Master gives a finite number. Data can also be changed via the editing functions afterwards.
Result	Sicat Master creates a head span between the chosen poles and saves the data in the project database.

Note: Please create a head span support, which serves as a heights relation base for the cross span, directly after the head span is created. Otherwise Sicat Master cannot do other calculations for the elements of the head span.

According to the number of support points in the cross span Sicat Master automatically creates the cross span wire.

The type of the catenary (horizontal catenary or catenary) is determined by the design of the catenary. The "d" stands for double support points.
